Set is in overall good condition, w/ some relatively minor surface marring (a small area, maybe 4 inches square) on top of the triple dresser, and some minor cracking of the wood at the very bottom of the Armoire.these minor defects add to it's character! I live Upstate NY.Just a few examples of appraisal values for drexel table I'd be greatful for any info, & may be interested in seeking additional peices to match- ie a tall bdrm dresser, a vanity, or I'm very interested in any other bdrm peices which might coordinate. Can anyone please tell me how I might find out more about this particular line of furniture? Is the wood actual Pecan? The finish is very striated/randomly & variably patterned, overall a medium to dark finish- such a rich look. I'm told the set is a pecan finish, from ~1970's (unsure?), at which time the original purchase price was in excess of $10K. It's incredibly heavy, solid wood, with breathtakingly beautiful craftsmanship construction & a finish such as I have never seen before. I'm thrilled beyond words to have just recently acquired the following Drexel Woodbriar bdrm set: Triple Dresser w/ 2 mirrors (on rollers/wheels), a huge Armoire, 2 Bed tables (shallow drawer on top, & cabinetry doors enclosing ample storage area underneath the single drawer), & a F/Q headboard, w/ rattan or cane weaving in square shapes, in between the solid wood pecan finished slats.
